We saw the Boston Celtics’ power in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, and to be honest, they humiliated the Dallas Mavericks. From what we saw, things are not going to be easy for the guests from Texas in Game 2, even though they played fantastic on the road throughout the entire playoffs.
Dallas Mavericks News
Dallas was unable to catch up with the Cs after a solid start because of the physicality and poor three-point shooting. It was somewhat expected that they would not reach the rim easily, and in those situations, downtown shooting is the only way out, yet on Thursday night, that didn’t happen.
Luka alone was 4-for-12 for three, while the entire Mavs team shot 7-for-27. Doncic ended the night with 30 points and ten boards, yet having only one assist, his season low. Kyrie was 6-for-19, missing all five threes and delivering 12 buckets, while PJ Washington had 14 and Jaden Hardy one fewer.
Boston Celtics News
We’ve stated that the Cs have a much deeper roster and are physically much stronger. Therefore, it’s not surprising that they allowed only 89 points. As we expected, Joe Mazzulla allowed Luka to play his game, but on the other side, he wanted his players to pressure Kyrie, which eventually happened.
Kristaps Porzingis led the attack in his comeback, scoring 20 points in 21 minutes and adding six boards. Jaylen Brown scored 22 with six boards and a couple of monstrous blocks and dunks, while Jayson Tatum ended the night with a double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Dallas Mavericks vs. Boston Celtics Game 2 Betting Tips
The Cs are a better team. If not better, then more versatile and have a deeper roster. Now, we know that the Mavs played well on the road, and that they knew to hit back in Game 2 of any series, but in this case, we simply don’t see that happening.
