Friday will be reserved for the Bundesliga derby between Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig. The intensity of their rivalry has increased over the last few years, and we are now talking about a true derby.
Bayern Munich News
The Bavarians have problems, plenty of them. First and foremost are injuries because they can’t count on Harry Kane and several other players for this event. This complicates the preparation for Friday’s meeting because we all know how much Kane contributes to the team.
Bayern’s unstable form is the second issue. They were beaten last weekend in Mainz, 2-1, which was the third time in the last five events that Bayern failed to triumph. Also, their defense has been terrible, allowing at least a goal in each of those contests.
RB Leipzig News
The Bulls from Leipzig were in a terrible slum in November, with poor results coming one after another. They recently recovered with three victories in four previous events, significantly improving their position in the Bundesliga standings. They have been utterly terrible in the UEFA Champions League, losing all games, and that’s why their focus has shifted to the Bundesliga.
RB plays fast football and with plenty of goals. In the latest four, the Bulls scored at least twice and also, created much more chances than before. Injuries have ravaged their lineup as well, but it appears that the situation is slowly getting back under control.
Bayern Munich vs. RB Leipzig Head to Head
Last year we saw three meetings between the two sides. The first in the Super Cup saw RB winning in Munich, the second in Leipzig finished 2-2, and the final in Munich ended with Bayern’s 2-1 victory. The latter were in the Bundesliga.

We predict a high-scoring affair at the Allianz Arena and at least three goals. Despite all the injuries, both teams have excellent offenses, and relatively average defenses.
