Novak Djokovic vs. Carlos Alcaraz, chapter 8. That’s what awaits us in the Australian Open quarterfinals. The battle of two titans is an opportunity for betting as well.
Novak Djokovic vs. Carlos Alcaraz Preview
Novak Djokovic defeated Jiri Lehecka in the fourth round. It was a solid challenge for Novak, who had to go through the tiebreak in the third set. Eventually, it was 3-0 for the Serb, who opened the Aussie Open a bit slower, losing a set apiece in both of his opening rounds.
However, as time went by, he increased his form, beating two Czech players, Mahac and Lehecka, in straight sets. Though, he has to calm down when it comes to interacting with the fans who aren’t favoring him, because that evidently disturbs the 24-time Grand Slam champ.
Carlos Alcaraz cruised past Jack Draper in the third round. The Australian withdrew from the event, with the Spaniard leading 2-0 in the sets. It was 7-5, 6-1 for Carlitos, who was looking very sharp on the court, much better than against Borges in the previous round.
Alcaraz is excellent so far in Melbourne. He was more or less trashing each of its opponents in the first four rounds, losing that one set against Borges. Though, it was a tiebreak. By the way, his previous rivals were Shevchenko, Nishioka, Borges, and Draper.
Novak Djokovic vs. Carlos Alcaraz Head to Head
Novak has an edge in H2H against Alcaraz as he leads 4-3. Their previous meeting was at the Olympic Finals, where Novak won, 2-0 and took the gold medal.
Betting Tip – Novak Djokovic vs. Carlos Alcaraz
Novak is the king of Melbourne, but Carlos is younger and, at the moment, sharper. That’s our impression from the previous games these two stars played. Novak has problems with rude fans in the standings, and that distracts him. Against Alcaraz, that will be even more obvious, and we believe it’s going to impact Novak. So, all in all, we pick Carlos Alcaraz to win.
